Crystal Ball Time

What does the future in real estate look like?  Such an interesting question and, of course, no one really knows.  I don’t see a drop in prices but I do see things flattening a bit locally.  If you read the real estate news you can find articles supporting everything from a price increase of 16 percent in 2022 (Goldman Sachs) to a price reductions in “pandemic boomtowns” (Bloomberg Wealth). I believe San Diego will continue to be a strong market as long as interest rates stay low and we have a housing shortage.  My prediction is 2022 will have modest growth in prices – maybe 8 percent.  Check back with me in a year and let’s see how it shakes out.
