You may not have heard about it but the County of San Diego has an app called "Tell Us Now" where citizens can voice a variety of non-emergency concerns. It is a way to let county staff know what is happening at the microlevel. Got a tree down or an abandoned car in your neighborhood? Tired of the 6 foot pothole in your county-maintained road? Wondering if the neighbor has permits for the two story ADU being built along your fence? Let them know. County staff says receipt of the complaint will be acknowledged within 24 business hours and they will began an investigation within five business days. Complaints can be filed in several categories including Code Compliance, Road Service Request and Parks. You can find the app on Google Play or in the App Store or you can go to the county website for links.
