In a study done earlier this year by Money Wise, over half of the respondents flunked a quiz on common home buying terms like "down payment" and "appreciation." These are words I use daily but I can see why they can be confusing to someone who doesn't work in real estate or finance. If you have questions about real estate and the terminology please ask. Like the old adage says, "There is never a dumb question." According to the survey the younger the respondent the less they were able to accurately define each term. How many of the terms would you get correct? If you want to see the results click here.
